PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost pedometer with its measurement accuracy prevented from lowering due to variation in its mounted state caused by the body shape of a user. SOLUTION: The pedometer 100A includes a sensor unit 150 fixedly disposed so as to detect a body motion in a prescribed detection axis direction, and a body casing with the sensor unit 150 housed therein. A detection axis of the sensor unit 150 is aslope disposed on a human body at a tilt angle to a mounting surface 122 of the body casing.
