PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake port structure of an internal combustion engine capable of reducing emission, by forming and stabilizing a swirling air current, by reducing adverse influence having on a main flow by intake air trying to flow from a clearance on the side of an air current control valve. SOLUTION: This intake port structure 100A of the internal combustion engine has a valve stem 2 interposed in the vicinity of a wall surface of an intake port 10A and the air current control valve 1A of journaling one end part to the valve stem 2, and forms a just above part of a downstream side end part of this air current control valve 1A as the wall surface of the intake port when fully opening the air current control valve 1A, Among the wall surface of the intake port 10A, a recessed part 11A covered with this air current control valve 1A when fully opening the air current control valve 1A, is formed of a surface inclining inside the intake port 10A toward the downstream side.
