PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin which excels in heat resistance and the like and has flexibility. SOLUTION: The polyimide silicone resin is composed of a repeating unit represented by formula (1) (wherein X is a tetravalent organic group and at least partially contains -(-SiR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>1</SP>O-)-<SB>n</SB>, and Y is a divalent organic group and at least partially contains a phenolic hydroxy group or an aromatic carboxy group) and has a number average molecular weight of 5,000-200,000.
