PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping device capable of reducing deflection of a steel sheet and members located between the steel sheet and each cylinder apparatus can be reduced upon clamping. SOLUTION: The clamping device K is equipped with a plurality of cylinder apparatuses 6 arranged in a sheet width direction and applies clamping pressure to the edge part of each steel sheet 1 via one clamping frame 5. When the width of the steel sheet to be clamped is small, the clamping pressure by the cylinder apparatus located in the edge part in the width direction is made lower than the clamping pressure by the other cylinder apparatuses.
