PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coating with a viscous fluid, and a coater of the viscous fluid, which generates no swelling at the end-part position of the linearly coating viscous fluid. SOLUTION: The coating method of the viscous fluid S consists of coating, in the shape of line, the viscous fluid S discharged from a coating nozzle 21 onto the surface of a work W horizontally maintained, wherein a supply of the viscous fluid S to the coating nozzle 21 is stopped short of a termination location as a finalizing point of coating operation.
