A functional pillow is provided to prevent medicinal stuffs from being gathered at one side by forming an arc-shaped pocket and to conveniently prop up the neck and head of a user by inserting a cushioning member into a space between the pocket and a lower outer cover having an opening and closing unit. A functional pillow(100) is composed of upper and lower outer covers(110,140); a cushioning member between the upper and lower outer covers; an inner cover(120) formed on the inside of the upper outer cover; a medicinal stuff receiving part(130) provided with an opening and sewed under the inner cover to form a pocket(131); and opening and closing units(120a,130a) formed at the opening of the medicinal stuff receiving part and a part of the inner cover corresponding to the opening of the medicinal stuff receiving part and attached or detached correspondently to each other to insert or take out medicinal stuffs.
