<p>The molding, e.g. a WC seat (2) or cover (4), includes a core (10) and an outer casing (12). These (10, 12) are produced sequentially or simultaneously in an injection mold. The core material has less enthalpy than the casing. The casing and core materials are introduced into the injection mold using a sandwich plate with two associated injection molding units. The casing material is introduced first. The core is a comparatively inexpensive material. The casing has a high quality outer surface (14). The layer thickness of the outer casing is 0.5 - 3 mm, preferably 1.5 mm. The core is completely embedded by it.</p> |
