The device has a parallelizing-/deflecting unit (12) with a lens unit (24) and a reflecting unit (30), where the lens and the reflecting units define an optical axis (18) running through a light source (10) that radiates light. The lens unit is designed in such a manner that it guides the radiated light approaching the axis parallel to the reflecting unit. The deflecting unit has a wall (36) designed in such a manner that a part of the radiated light passing through the wall and not entering the lens unit is emitted parallel to the light deflected by the reflecting unit from the wall.
