UPPER SHAFT ASSEMBLY OF A STEERING SHAFT FOR A VEHICLE

An upper shaft assembly of a steering shaft for a vehicle is provided to improve assemblability of an upper solid shaft and a tubular shaft. An upper shaft assembly of a steering shaft for a vehicle comprises an upper solid shaft(20) having an external spline(20a) and a through-hole(20c); a tubular shaft assembly(10) having a tubular shaft(40) with a lock sleeve(30) and an internal spline(40a), a quasi-spherical cage(60) having a threaded upper tilt pin hole(60a), a through-hole(60b), and a fastening recess(60c); and an upper steering shaft(50) having a threaded hole(50b) and an inner circumference corresponding to the cage. The upper solid shaft of the tubular shaft assembly(10) is assembled to the fastening recess of the cage(60). A lower tilt pin(61) passes through the through-holes(20c, 60b). The cage is assembled to the inner circumference of the upper steering shaft(50).
