A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a driver from being electrically damaged, by adjusting applying time of data pulses which are supplied to address electrode groups including one or more address electrodes. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(800), a data driver(802), and a data pulse controller(801). The plasma display panel includes plural address electrodes. The data driver drives the plural address electrodes. The data pulse controller controls the data driver and adjusts applying time of data pulses, which are supplied to adjacent address electrodes of plural address groups including the one or two adjacent address groups, to be different from each other.
