METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF LIQUID CRYSTAL BASED ON THE STATE OF DISPENSED SEALANT

A method for determining a dropping amount of liquid crystals based on the state of a dispensed sealant is provided to prevent an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) defect by determining an amount of liquid crystals to drop on a substrate based on excess or shortage of a sealant even when a sealant pattern error occurs. A substrate is received on a stage(40) of a sealant dispensing apparatus. A sealant is dispensed in a predetermined pattern on the substrate by using a dispensing head(30). A defective portion of the dispensed sealant pattern is detected and a volume of the defective portion of the sealant pattern is calculated. An amount of liquid crystals required for the calculated volume of the defective portion is calculated. The calculated amount of liquid crystals is provided to a liquid crystal dropping apparatus.
