An outdoor heat exchanger for a heat pump system is provided to remove frost when outer temperature is low at heating operation by circulating brine of hot water or cool water in a heat transfer pipe for the brine, and to maximize performance of an outdoor heat exchanger by allowing condensation of refrigerant vapor to be good when outer temperature is high at cooling operation. An outdoor heat exchanger for a heat pump system comprises a heat transfer pipe(11) for refrigerant and a heat transfer pipe(12) for brine. The heat transfer pipe for the refrigerant and the heat transfer pipe for the brine are respectively formed in a casing in zigzags, and alternatively arranged to be orthogonal. A plurality of pins(15) are installed in the heat transfer pipes for the refrigerant or the brine. A press-in fan(16) is driven at heating operation.
