A mobile communication system and method for handover between an asynchronous network and a synchronous network and a mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to perform handover to the synchronous network from the asynchronous network based on entrance information of the terminal entering a particular region, thereby supplying a service without deteriorating speech quality. As a mobile communication terminal enters a particular region, entrance information which includes authentication information of the terminal sent from a detector is received(S101,S103). The terminal is perceived on the basis of the entrance information, and a handover command message for enabling handover to be performed to a synchronous mobile communication system from an asynchronous mobile communication system is transmitted to the perceived terminal(S105).
