A plasma display apparatus is provided to prevent deterioration of image by supplying an erase pulse, which has less pulse width than and different voltage from a sustain pulse, to a scan electrode or a sustain electrode. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel and a driver. The plasma display panel includes scan and sustain electrodes(Y,Z). The driver supplies an erase pulse(Erase2), which has a smaller width than a sustain pulse and a different voltage magnitude from the sustain pulse, to the scan or sustain electrode between the last sustain pulse(SUSL) of plural sustain pulses which are supplied to the scan and sustain electrodes during a sustain period to display images of a sub-field, and a rising ramp waveform which is supplied to the scan electrode during a reset period in the next one of the sub-field.
