<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting device excelling in its light deriving efficiency without complicating its structure. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light emitting device has a plurality of light emitters 2 arranged on a transparent layer 1 longitudinally and laterally, and has a plurality of contacts 3 disposed on the opposite side of the transparent layer 1 to these light emitters 2. Each of the plurality of light emitters 2 has each active layer 5 for emitting each light, each taper 7 machined in the form of a taper and for reflecting a portion of each light emitted from each active layer 5, and each flat portion 8 disposed on the bottom surface of each taper 7. Because the contacts 3 are disposed in such places as not to prevent the transmissions of the lights emitted from the light emitters 2, the light emitting efficiency of the semiconductor light emitting device is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
