<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in recoded image quality while aligning a picture phase of a coded stream obtained by coding after editing with that of a coded stream before editing, even when editing at an arbitrary position of the coded stream. <P>SOLUTION: The image coding device has an editor, which edits the coded stream generated by coding uncompressed video data so as to be continuous at editing points A, B, a decoding processor for decoding an edited already-edited stream, and a coding processor for coding the decoded already-edited stream. The edited decoded-data are supplied to the coding processor. The coding processor generates the already-edited stream by coding in a state that the picture phases are aligned with each other so as to be the same picture type in the same frame as that of the original coded stream, by inserting an insertion picture generated by coding a decoded image J immediately before the editing point A between the editing points A, B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
