<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an input-output characteristic of A/D conversion to be settable to an ideal characteristic (straight line) without a conversion formula, in an A/D conversion device for A/D conversion of an analog input signal using a pulse delay circuit having delay units of cascade connection of a plurality of stages. <P>SOLUTION: In a device for A/D converting an analog input signal Vin using a TAD (time A/D converter) configured of the pulse delay circuit and a coding circuit, the analog input signal Vin is separated into two systems, and a first voltage (Voff+Vin) having the analog input signal Vin added to an offset voltage Voff, and a second voltage (Voff-Vin) having the post-amplification analog input signal Vin subtracted from the offset voltage Voff, are generated. Each voltage is A/D converted by the TAD. Then, by obtaining a difference between two A/D conversion data DT1 and DT2 in a subtractor 6, A/D conversion data DT0 having a linear characteristic are generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
