PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of jaggedness when performing half-tone processing for which a line screen inclined with respect to a main scanning direction is used. SOLUTION: For data that have been decomposed into each color of C, M, Y and K used for recording an image, the half-tone processing is performed using a threshold matrix 70 wherein a line keynote serves as the line-pattern direction M. For a dot D of an acquired image 72, while dots D<SB>5</SB>, D<SB>7</SB>and D<SB>8</SB>whose positions vary in shapes of stairs are established as specific dots Ds, dots D<SB>9</SB>and D<SB>10</SB>are established as specific dots. An image 72A wherein the jaggedness is prevented from standing out can be recorded on recording paper by decreasing the amount of the droplet delivered to the specific established dots.
