PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "disk drive " which has a drive unit turning a disk from a retracting position off from the disk being in selection operation to an intervention position to drive the disk and can stably support this drive unit not to rattle up and down. SOLUTION: The drive unit 14 having a rotary driving part 82 turns the disk from the retracting position to the intervention position where it can drive the disk by a support shaft 84 as a fulcrum. On the unit support base 13, a fixed guide 80 having an arc guide part 80a is provided along with a movable guide 401 having an arc guide part 401a. The drive unit 14 in the retracting position is transferred from the fixed guide 80 to the movable guide 401 and can move to the intervention position without rattling up and down.
