PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition wall which can increase construction efficiency by reducing the number of man-hours for work on a building site and the types and weight of members and which can maintain the high quality of construction, and a forming method for the partition wall. SOLUTION: This partition wall comprises: upper and lower runners which are formed in such a shape as to have a U-shaped cross section, and which are horizontally elongated in the state of facing each other at the height of a ceiling and that of a floor; a plurality of studs which are vertically elongated between the upper and lower runners, and which are arranged at intervals; and lathing plates which are mounted on the runners and both the sides of the stud, respectively. Characteristically, a part of the lathing plate, which constitutes a half panel having the studs prefixed on the backside, is mounted by fixing the half panel to the upper and lower runners; and the single lathing plate is arranged on the other side of the half panel in the state of sandwiching the upper and lower runners in between, and fixed to the upper and lower runners and the stud of the half panel.
