PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush bristle material capable of simply manufacturing a high quality brush highly densely filled with bristles using a conventional bristle filling art and having superior cleaning property and texture, and a brush. SOLUTION: This brush bristle material and the brush using the same are characterized in being formed of a synthetic fiber bundle formed by joining synthetic fiber single yarns together with adhesive without twisting the plurality of synthetic fiber single yarns and opening it without sticking adhesive to at least one end of the synthetic fiber bundle.
