The wheel carrier (10) has a slotted through-hole (14) to accommodate the fitting of the housing of a ball joint (16). The through-hole and ball joint housing form a clamped connection with a small press fit, and the clamped connection in a tangential direction to the through-hole is clamped by means of a clamping screw (28) in such a way that a transfer of all operating loads which occur is made possible. The clamping screw is eccentrically located with regard to the center of the ball of the ball joint.
