<p>The invention concerns a snowshoe (1) comprising means for retaining the shoe (5) enabling it to be pivoted upwards relative to the strings (2) of the snowshoe about a transverse axis (X, X') located substantially at the front region of the shoe and so that the user may raise his/her heel by pivoting, from a normal low position (A), the usual position of using the snowshoe to walk on flat ground, whereby the general plane of the lower surface of said shoe is substantially parallel to the ground surface (T), and which comprises means for limiting the pivoting movement downwards to define an extreme low position (C). The invention is characterized in that the articulated plate (7) comprises in its lower part, fastening means for retaining said plate and hence the whole snowshoe forward thereby inhibiting forward movements, by fastening the plate.</p> |
