<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of suppressing scumming and the unevenness of development density due to poor agitation of a two-component developer while suppressing the unevenness of development density due to surface waves of the two-component developer conveyed by a second conveying screw 15. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to a plurality of conveying screws, a screw having two helical blades having a double helical structure is used as the second conveying screw 15 for supplying the two-component developer to a developing sleeve 13, and a screw having one helical blade having a single helical structure is used as a first conveying screw 14. This configuration suppresses scumming and the unevenness of development density due to poor agitation of the two-component developer by actively agitating the two-component developer by the first conveying screw 14 while suppressing the unevenness of development density due to surface waves of the two-component developer conveyed by the second conveying screw 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
