<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which is an equilibrium potential type gas sensor that uses a solid electrolyte, operates well at a low temperature of 200°C or lower, especially at room temperature, is unaffected by humidity and the like, is superior in stability with time and further has high measurement sensitivity and responsiveness, and to provide a method for manufacturing the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas sensor, a reference electrode which has a reference material and an electron-conducting material, and a sensing electrode which has a sensing material and an electron-conducting material, are positioned so as to sandwich the solid electrolyte. The gas sensor and the method for manufacturing the gas sensor are characterized in that the solid electrolyte, the reference material and the sensing material are made of a lithium-ion conductor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
