<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator 1 capable of favorably preserving vegetables stored in a vegetable chamber 5 without causing low temperature injury in the vegetables. <P>SOLUTION: Low temperature injury is prevented by providing a low temperature storage space 55 for carrying out cold preservation at a low temperature of one to three degrees, and a high temperature storage space 53 for carrying out cold preservation at a temperature of four degrees or more, and storing vegetables that are sensitive to cold in the high temperature storage space 53.
