<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental implant which utilizes the photocatalysis by apatite-coated titanium dioxide, effectively control the accumulation of the dental plaque on the dental implant and can improve the sanitary condition in an oral cavity. <P>SOLUTION: The dental implant includes a fixture 3 which is inserted into a perforated hole 4 of an alveolar bone 9 and is embedded under the gingival margin 8, and the abutment 2 which is fixed to the fixture 3 and supports a dental prosthesis crown 1 on the gingival margin 8, and has a coating section 24 having a coat which is formed on the outer surface of the abutment 2 located between the gingival margin 8 and the dental prosthesis crown 1 and contains the titanium oxide powder covered by hydroxyapatite or hydroxyapatite fluoride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
