PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation control device of an internal combustion engine capable of enhancing the control accuracy of a cylinder temperature by accurately controlling the recirculating amount of hot and cold recirculation gases when these gases are controlled. SOLUTION: The ECU 2 of this exhaust gas recirculation control device 1 calculates an actual fresh charge ratio KEGR (step 12), sets the target value KEGRCMD of the actual fresh charge ratio (step 60), calculates a feedback correction factor KERGFB for converging the actual fresh charge ratio KEGR to the target value KEGRCMD by an I-PD control algorithm (step 80), sets an external EGR ratio EGRDIVEX and an internal EGR ratio EGRDIVIN (steps 61, 62), and controls the larger EGR amount according to the larger one of the two ratios and the feedback correction factor KERGFB and controls the smaller EGR amount according to the smaller one of the two ratios and the learned value of the smaller ratio (steps 81 to 94).
