PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle front wheel equipped with an enhanced cornering performance on a wet road surface compared with the conventional arrangement. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 for the front wheel of motorcycle includes a tread shoulder region 28S ranging from the tread end 28E to the position of 20% of the spreading width of the tread 28 toward the tire equator surface and lands 56 provided in the tread shoulder region 28S being partitioned by transverse grooves 50. Each land 56 is configured so that the wall surface 56K on the kickout side is parallel with the tire radial direction while the wall surface 56H on the stamp-in side is inclined in such a direction that the groove width widens from the bottom to the groove opening, wherein the angle to the tire radial direction is made 35 degs. This works effectively in particular to a tumbling deformation in the circumferential direction of the land 56 when a braking force is applied, and it is possible to suppress the levitation of the land end on the stamp-in side originating from the tumbling deformation. Thereby the contacting area with the road surface is secured, and in cooperation with the draining effect owing to the transverse grooves 50, the cornering performance on the wet road surface can be enhanced compared with the conventional arrangement, and it is also possible to enhance the cornering performance on a dry road surface.
