PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain capacity improvement or power saving in both heating and cooling operation by utilizing one ejector. SOLUTION: This ejector type refrigerating cycle comprises a compressor 12; an outdoor heat exchanger 31; an indoor heat exchanger 33; the ejector 27 jetting a high pressure refrigerant supplied from an inlet, toward a discharge port to suck the refrigerant from a suction port 27b and to deliver it to the discharge port; a branch passage 30 branching from between the outdoor heat exchanger 31 and the indoor heat exchanger 33 to supply the high pressure refrigerant to the inlet; and an electric four-way valve 21 switching a first mode of supplying the high pressure refrigerant to the outdoor heat exchanger 31 and allowing the refrigerant from the indoor heat exchanger 33 to flow to the suction port 27b, and a second mode of supplying the high pressure refrigerant to the indoor heat exchanger 33 and allowing the refrigerant from the outdoor heat exchanger 31 to flow to the suction port 27b. One ejector 27 can thereby be utilized in both heating and cooling operation, and capacity improvement or power saving can be attained in both heating and cooling operation.
