PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turntableless type heating cooker capable of preventing the generation of sparks while allowing the use of metallic cooking pan (such as a frying pan). SOLUTION: This heating cooker comprises a heating chamber 3 enclosing a heated object; a magnetron 14 for heating the heated object in the heating chamber 3; a rotating antenna 11 rotatably provided below the heating chamber 3 and supplying microwave generated by the magnetron 14, into the heating chamber 3; and a bottom plate 8 fixed to the bottom face of the heating chamber 3 to partition the heating chamber 3 from an area where the rotating antenna 11 exists. Peripheral walls (sidewalls 4, 4 and a rear wall 5) in the heating chamber 3 are provided with protective members 21 for preventing the metallic cooking pan 17 from contacting the peripheral walls in the heating chamber 3 when the metallic cooking pan 17 is placed on the bottom plate 8.
