PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed type constant velocity universal joint capable of achieving a higher working angle than before by allowing balls to be on the outside of an outside joint member without causing the balls to fall off. SOLUTION: A ball center locus C of a guide groove 2b of an inside joint member 2 is an inclination straight line part C2a with its intermediate part being a cross section V perpendicular to the axis at the center of the joint, and crossing symmetrically in a reverse gradient with an inclination straight line C1 of a ball center locus of the outside joint member 1, and both end parts are C2b and C2c which are arcs with the joint center as the center, extending to a predetermined length from both ends of the inclination straight line part C2a. The center of the balls 3 is made to move to the boundary of the inclination straight part C2a, and the arc parts C2b, C2c in the ball center locus C2 of the guide groove 2b of the inside joint member 2 in the state of the size of an outer diameter side window opening of a holder 4 being smaller than the diameter of the balls 3, and the inside joint member 2 having a working angle with the outside joint member 1 and one of the balls 3 being moved to an opening side end of a guide groove 1b of the outside joint member 1.
