PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more efficiently producing cutinase by culturing yeast belonging to the genus Cryptococcus, separating and purifying cutinase from the obtained culture and to obtain an inducer-containing medium used for the method. SOLUTION: The method for producing cutinase comprises culturing yeast belonging to the genus Cryptococcus in an inducer-containing medium, separating and purifying cutinase from the obtained culture. The inducer is oil and fat containing linolenic acid as a constituent fatty acid. The inducer-containing medium contains the inducer and is used for culturing yeast belonging to the genus Cryptococcus and producing cutinase. Cryptococcus sp.2 is preferably used as the yeast belonging to the genus Cryptococcus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
