The invention relates to a method and device for the coordinate operation of vehicle doors of railborne or guided vehicles and corresponding platform guiding systems, especially platform doors, which are controlled by at least one central control device for one vehicle each and at least one central control device for one platform each. The invention is characterized in that the door availability of the vehicle detected by the respective control devices and the availability of elements of the corresponding platform guiding system are bidirectionally transmitted via a radio-controlled transmission channel between the vehicle and the platform prior to the arrival of the vehicle at the respective next platform, these data are edited in the control devices and are transmitted to the passenger information system in the vehicle and at the platform. The inventive device is characterized by control devices (TDC; PSDC) which are adapted to process data on the condition of the doors or the elements of the platform guiding system and to exchange these data bidirectionally via a radio-controlled transmission channel over long distances between the vehicle and the respective next platform.
