Cost is remarkably reduced by substantially reducing the number of components. A tray is smoothly transferred by facilitating 90° conversion of a tray transfer direction. For such smooth transfer, a rack in the horizontal direction of the tray is engaged with a belt transmission member, which has teeth and is provided in an apparatus for horizontally transferring the tray, by a switching unit. The tray is driven to transfer in the horizontal direction by driving the apparatus for horizontally transferring the tray, and the rack in the vertical direction of the tray is engaged with a belt transmission member, which has teeth and is provided in an apparatus for vertically transferring the tray, by the switching unit. The tray is transferred in the vertical direction by driving the apparatus for vertically transferring the tray in such manner.
