BRIDGE FOR STRINGED INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of an ear-offensive sound and to improve sound quality.

SOLUTION: A bridge 10 comprises a base 11 fitted to an external surface of the body of a stringed instrument and a plurality of saddles 12 mounted on the base 11 to support strings S. Each saddle 12 is formed in a block shape. The saddle 12 has its base side coupled to the base 11. A through hole 25 is bored in the saddle 12 between the part to be coupled to the base 11 and a peak part which abuts against a string S. The through hole 25 is in a through state or filled with an attenuating material 26.
