PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope apparatus which controls a decline in quality of a spectral image for diagnosis. SOLUTION: Using a spectral image acquisition means 10 of a face simultaneous form which images a biological mucosa 1, reflection Lk reflected on the biological mucosa 1 by receiving the lighting of illumination light Lr by an illumination means 14 is received so that the ratio of a light-receiving level in a short wavelength region to that of a long wavelength region in a light-receiving means 12 becomes larger than the ratio of spectral reflectance in the short wavelength region to that in the long wavelength region in the biological mucosa when receiving each reflection, which carries out spectral diffraction to mutually diverging wavelength regions, by the light-receiving means 12 to acquire spectral image data. By a spectral image data arithmetic means, the spectral image for the diagnosis of the biological mucosa 1 is created by performing spectral image presumption calculation in which the values of the spectral image data are corrected to the values of the spectral image data acquired by receiving light by the light-receiving means 12 in which the ratio of the light-receiving level in the short wavelength region to that in the long wavelength region does not become larger.
