PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage caused by a collision with a foreign material by protecting a panel-like diaphragm whose outer circumferential portion is not restricted, with a circumferential side plate of a box-like cover member by disposing the circumferential side plate of the box-like cover member in the outer circumferential portion of the panel-like diaphragm at a prescribed space therefrom, and housing the panel-like diaphragm in the cover member. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a speaker 1 including a rigid panel-like diaphragm 10 housed in a box-like cover 8, and at least one or more driver units 11 attached to the panel-like diaphragm 10 and constituting a vibrating source that generates partial bending in the panel-like diaphragm 10 based on a reproduction input signal. In an opening part surrounded by the circumferential side plate of the box-like cover 8, the speaker is included which is driven by the driver units 11 and dissipates reproduced sounds by disposing the panel-like diaphragm 10 with a prescribed space apart from the inner peripheral wall of the circumferential side plate in a state of not restricting the outer circumferential portion.
