PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to prevent certainly an incorrect operation of switches, for which incorrect operations should be avoided, using simple configuration, while preventing useless increase in the product cost. SOLUTION: A controller comprises switches SW1, SW2, SW3, and SW4 and a dial D1 provided on an operation surface 1a of a body 1. The body 1 is formed in an arbitrary shape of a flat plate. An operator can grip the operation surface 1a from right and left directions with his/her right and left palms. A plurality of switches SW1, SW2, SW3, and SW4 are arranged at a right section and a left section of the operation surface 1a within a range where a finger prolonged from his/her right and left palms located at both sides of the body 1 can reach. Moreover, a specific switch SW 4 is arranged at one of the right section and the left section while another switch SW 2 interlocked with the specific switch SW 4 is arranged at the other of the right section and the left section or the dial D1 interlocked with the specific switch SW4 is arranged on the operation surface 1a.
