PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a calorific value at the time of actuating a capacitive load. SOLUTION: When electrically discharging a piezoelectric element, a driver voltage is not lowered to a ground level from HV1 at a time, but first lowered to an intermediate level HV2 (point 1) and next lowered to the ground level (point 2). When electrically charging the piezoelectric element, the driver voltage is not raised to HV1 from the ground level at a time, but first raised to the intermediate level HV2 from the ground level (point 3) and next raised to HV1 (point 4).
