PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated copper foil enhancing adhesiveness when gluing together by hot press processing of the surface treated copper foil having a silane coupling agent treated layer and a resin base material, a manufacturing method of the surface treated copper foil, and a copper clad laminate using the surface treated copper foil. SOLUTION: In the surface treated copper foil having the silane coupling agent treated layer in the adhering face of the copper foil with the resin base material, the silane coupling agent treated layer is formed using a bifunctional silane coupling agent having functional groups of -Si(OCH3) at both ends of a chemical structural formula. Either one of bis-γ-trimethoxysilylpropylamine, bis-γ-trimethoxysilylpropylethylenediamine and bis-γ-trimethoxysilylethane is used as the bifunctional silane coupling agent.
