PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant capable of effectively preventing a peep into a display screen from an oblique direction, and also preventing the display screen from becoming hard to see for a user. SOLUTION: The personal digital assistant includes a display device for displaying information in a display area on the display screen, and a visual field changeover device for changing over a visual field angle of the above display area between a wide visual field mode for referring to the above display area with a wide visual field angle and a narrow visual field mode for referring thereto with a narrow visual field angle, and is configured so that the above visual field change-over device divides the above display area into two or more pattern areas in the above narrow visual field mode, and makes the visual field angle of each pattern narrower than that in the above wide visual filed mode.
