The invention relates to a composition comprised of constituents for simultaneously or sequentially administering or ingesting, the constituents comprising a 5a-reductase inhibitor, an estrogen receptor ß-agonist and an inhibitor of the prostate-specific antigen. The invention also relates to the use of a 5a-reductase inhibitor, an estrogen receptor ß-agonist and of an inhibitor of the prostate-specific antigen for producing a medicament for preventing or treating a prostatic disease. The invention further relates to the use of a 5a-reductase inhibitor, an estrogen receptor ß-agonist and of an inhibitor of prostate-specific antigen for producing a food supplement for preventing a prostatic disease. In preferred embodiments of the inventive composition or use, an extract from Cimifuga racemosa is used as a 5a-reductase inhibitor, an extract from Vitex agnus-castus or from Silybum marianum is used as an estrogen receptor ß-agonist, and an extract from Belamcanda chinensis is used as an inhibitor of the prostate-specific antigen.
