<p>A digital exposure apparatus which exposes a recording medium by an optical beam modulated based on image information and records an image. The digital exposure apparatus is provided with an exposure unit which performs scanning exposure to the recording medium while transferring the recording medium; a transfer unit which is arranged in a direction orthogonally intersecting a transfer direction of the recording medium and transfers the recording medium along transfer paths; a first waiting stage which is arranged on one of the transfer paths and permits the recording medium to wait prior to exposure; a second waiting stage which is arranged on the other transfer paths and permits the exposed recording medium to wait; and an inversion unit which receives the recording medium from the waiting stage and inverts the front and the rear of the recording medium.</p>
