A settlement method and a server device using a network card are provided to enable a user to settling a price for an article or a service, and transfer money with a desired credit card or bank account in any place having a terminal connected to the Internet by using the NC(Network Card) including a magnetic stripe, an IC chip, a data storing part, and a USB(Universal Serial Bus) connector. A basic information receiver(A301) receives settlement request information from an EC(Electronic Commerce) server or a seller terminal, receives card information stored in the first NC from the first user terminal or the seller terminal, and receives authentication information stored in the second NC from the second terminal. A temporary storing part(A302) constructs a temporary information database by temporarily storing the received information. An information transmitter(A303) reads/transmits the information stored in the temporary storing part to an authentication server or a banking server, transmits settlement reservation processing particulars to the first user terminal, and the EC server or the seller terminal, and transmits a settlement processing result to the second user terminal, and the EC server or the seller terminal. |
