<p>The present invention relates to a cross-over section for use at a predetermined location of a main track, comprising a first and a second main- track rail, for guiding first and second wheels of a track vehicle between the main track and a sidetrack, comprising respective first and second sidetrack rails, wherein the rails of the main track remain intact and wherein the cross-over section comprises : - a runover member, which in the direction of travel can be positioned between the second main-track rail and the second sidetrack rail so as to provide a runover for the second wheels over the first main-track rail; - a switch tongue that can be positioned at the inside of the second main-track rail for guiding the second wheels of the track vehicle between the second main-track rail and the runover member; and - a ramp member for enabling the first wheels to bridge a difference in height between the track surface of the first main-track rail or slightly below that and at least the height of the respective flanges of the wheels of the track vehicle in such a manner that the flange can be guided laterally over the first main- track rail, with the ramp member being positioned against the outside of the first main- track rail.</p> |
