PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with excellent handleability at a low cost while suppressing power source harmonics and suppressing vibrations from a motor simultaneously by controlling the motor. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with the motor 1, a driving means 2 for driving the motor 1, a vibration detection means 3 for detecting the vibration of the motor 1, and a control means 6. By controlling a power amount to be supplied to the motor 1 in the control means 6 so that the vibration value of the motor 1 becomes a certain prescribed value or smaller, motor vibrations are suppressed, the service life of the motor is secured, product vibrations are suppressed as well, and the vacuum cleaner with excellent usability is provided.
