PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cleaner capable of tightly adhering a floor nozzle to a floor and strongly sucking dust even when the force of pressing the floor nozzle downward becomes weak. SOLUTION: The electric cleaner comprises: a fan motor 11 for generating suction air; a control means 10 for controlling the input of the fan motor 11; a hose connected to a main body at one end and provided with an intake port for sucking dust; an extension pipe connected to the hose; a floor nozzle connected to the extension pipe and provided with a joint to be turned from roughly horizontal to about 90 degrees to a surface to be cleaned; and an angle detection means 30 for detecting the angle to the surface to be cleaned of the joint. When the angle detection means 30 detects that the joint is roughly horizontal to the surface to be cleaned, the control means 10 changes the input of the fan motor 11. Thus, even when the force of pressing the floor nozzle downward becomes weak, the suction force of the fan motor 11 is increased and the dust is strongly sucked. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
