<p>A method for manufacturing a jacket such as a suit- jacket or jacket of a costume wherein an outside of the jacket is at least partly provided with fabric with a pattern comprising at least a first plurality of mutually regularly spaced, separate, parallel stripes, and wherein when determining a direction of at least a part of a shoulder seam to be provided between a front shoulder (46) and a back shoulder (34), this direction is selected such that the angle included between the first stripes of the front shoulder (46) and the at least one part of the shoulder seam to be provided is equal to the angle included between the first stripes of the back shoulder (34) and the at least one part of the shoulder seam to be provided, while the position of the front shoulder and the back shoulder relative to the at least one part of the shoulder seam to be provided is selected such, without changing the direction of the at least one part of the shoulder seam to be provided relative to the front shoulder and the back shoulder, that the first stripes of the front shoulder and the first stripes of the back shoulder link up with each other on both sides of the at least one part of the shoulder seam to be provided.</p> |
