A convenient food-waste collecting apparatus for a sink is provided to save a user an uncomfortable work of directly contacting a food waste filter by hand to remove the food waste. A convenient food-waste collecting apparatus for a sink(10) comprises a housing(20), a screen filter(30), an inner pipe body(40), and a waste receptacle(50). The housing is fluidly communicated with a drainage(12) formed at a bottom of the sink by an upper end, and connected to a drain pipe(14) by a lower end thereof. The screen filter is disposed inside the housing and comprises filtering units(32,34) in the form of a screen at a lower side and a lateral side. The filtering units filter off solid wastes while passing water therethrough. An opened entrance is formed at an upper surface of the screen filter to let the water and the solid waste flow therein through the drainage. A closed part is formed at a lower surface of the screen filter. The inner pipe body is opened when the screen filter is turned upside down, so that the solid waste collected in the screen filter is dropped therein. The waste receptacle is replaceably mounted to a lower end of the housing to collect the food waste dropping through the inner pipe body therein. |
